KCC GLASS Corporation Launches E-GLASS HD Grey as a Low-E Glass

2020-03-19

KCC GLASS Corporation has released E-GLASS HD, a highly durable single Low-E glass. KCC GLASS Corporation is the first South Korean company to present a grey, highly durable Low-E glass, which is not an ordinary type of Low-E glass.

E-GLASS HD Grey is a product that adds sturdy durability to excellent thermal insulation and esthetic boost, which creates an uplifting appearance for buildings. The product is also available in the color grey, which is favored as the exterior color of buildings.

Mostly for high-rise buildings, low-emissivity glass that registers high energy efficiency enjoys the spotlight as an exterior finish. Stepping forward in this light, the product reflects the latest glass color trend that has chosen diversification to deliver more luxurious façades. Considering that transparent, silver, blue, and grey are counted as the most preferred exterior glass colors in the construction market, the company has decided to provide a spur for its advancement into the market for functional glass for commercial buildings.

E-GLASS HD is a highly functional Low-E brand from KCC that has remained as a best-seller since it was first released in 2014. It is a hybrid product that combines the advantages of hard Low-E glass, which is easy to handle and store as the coating layer on its surface is not vulnerable to damage, with those of soft Low-E glass, which registers excellent thermal insulation performance. The product is described as having established a new standard for Low-E double glazing by not only rendering beautiful colors but also demonstrating excellent thermal insulation and economic benefits.

The E-GLASS HD series keeps its coating layer unchanged through long-term storage as it demonstrates excellent moisture resistance and is easy to wash as it boasts a sturdier coating layer than ordinary types of soft Low-E glass. Moreover, the older ordinary types of Low-E glass have to deliberately remove the coating layer from the edge of the glass so that sealant may attach well in processing double-glazing glass units, which is not the case with E-GLASS HD. The extraordinary improvement in processability has met a favorable reaction from the market.
